Everything you need to know about the Birth Codex, the ordering process, archival standards, and the full system.
What It Is
A Birth Codex is a permanent, museum-grade archival document that records over 100 dimensions of a child's identity at birth — clinical data, celestial alignment, numerology, heritage, and verified provenance. It is printed on 100lb cotton-rag paper with a 500-year archival life. It is not a baby book, a birth certificate, or a novelty item. It is the permanent record that did not exist until now.
A birth certificate is a government document. It records name, date, and location — nothing more. The format has not changed since the 19th century. A Birth Codex is a personal record of identity — capturing who your child is, not just that they were born. The two are not in competition. They serve entirely different purposes.
No. A Birth Codex is an archival document — issued, numbered, and registered. It is produced to museum-grade standards on cotton-rag paper that outlasts standard paper by centuries. The distinction matters: keepsakes are decorative. Records are permanent.
Families who value legacy, identity, and permanence. Parents who want their child to have a documented record of who they were at the moment they arrived. It is also available through birth professionals and hospital systems for families who encounter it at the point of care.
The Record
The Codex documents over 100 identity dimensions across five categories: clinical birth data (time, date, weight, measurements, attending details), celestial alignment (planetary positions, lunar phase, rising sign), numerological profile (life path, expression, soul urge), heritage and provenance data, and verified identity markers unique to the moment of birth.
Yes. Clinical data is submitted through our provenance process and cross-referenced against birth records. Celestial data is computed from the exact time, date, and geographic coordinates of birth using verified astronomical databases. The record is generated from this verified input and issued with a permanent Codex ID.
Yes. As long as you have accurate birth data — time, date, and location — a Codex can be generated for any birth. The celestial and numerical data is calculated retroactively with the same precision. The record is equally valid whether issued the day of birth or years later.
The exact birth time is recorded on most hospital birth records and the official birth certificate. If unavailable, our team will work with you during the provenance process to approximate the time as accurately as possible. Some celestial calculations require a precise time — we will note any limitations in your record if an approximation is used.
Ordering
You begin by submitting provenance — the verified birth data used to generate the record. Visit mybirthcodex.com/provenance to start. The process takes approximately 3 minutes. Once submitted, our team generates the record and issues it within the timeframe for your selected tier.
The Birth Codex is available in three tiers: Origin at $247, Archive at $497, and Legacy at $897. Each tier expands the scope of identity documentation and the archival treatment of the finished record. This is a one-time creation fee — there is no subscription or recurring charge.
Yes. Visit Gift a Codex to purchase a gift. The recipient will be guided through the provenance process to submit their birth data. The Codex is generated and issued in their name. It is the kind of gift that outlasts every other.
Delivery & Format
The Birth Codex is printed at 8.5×14 — legal size — on 100lb cotton-rag archival paper. The Codex Companion is a 7×7 volume. The Codex Brief is a 5×7 distributable snapshot designed for professional presentation at the moment of birth.
Production timelines vary by tier and current order volume. You will receive a confirmed timeline at the time of order. Expedited production is available. Each record is produced individually — not in batches — which is part of what makes the Codex a permanent document rather than a printed product.
The physical Codex is the record. MYA™ (Moment You Arrived) is the living digital layer — a permanent identity registry that grows with the child, built on verified Codex data. MYA is available to families with an existing Birth Codex. Learn more at mya.html.
Archival Standards
Cotton-rag paper — the same substrate used for historical documents, currency, and museum-grade archival records — is acid-free, chemically stable, and resistant to the degradation that destroys standard paper over decades. Documents printed on cotton-rag paper and stored properly retain legibility and structural integrity for centuries. The 500-year standard is based on established archival science, not marketing language.
The Codex ships in an archival sleeve designed to protect it from light, humidity, and handling. For long-term storage, keep it flat, away from direct sunlight, in a stable-humidity environment. Framing is an option — use UV-protective glass if displayed. The record is designed to be passed down. Treat it accordingly.
The Full System
The Codex Companion is the narrative layer — a 7×7 volume containing the full written story of the birth environment, conditions, and context. Where the Birth Codex is a record of data, the Companion is a record of meaning. It is designed to be paired with or follow the Codex.
The Codex Brief is a concise 5×7 distributable snapshot of the birth record. It is designed for birth professionals — doulas, midwives, birthing centers — to present to families at the moment of birth. It is not a consumer-purchased item. Professionals order in sets of 10 or 100 to distribute at births they attend.
MYA stands for Moment You Arrived. It is the living digital layer of the Codex system — a permanent identity registry built on verified Codex data that grows with the child over time. MYA is accessible to families with an existing Birth Codex record. Early access is available at $111–$333 per year.
Codex Sovereign is the private tier of the system — a house identity layer where a family's seal, motifs, and lineage statement are embedded across every Codex produced under their house, permanently and consistently. It is not customization. It is a house identity system established by application. Entry requires review. Not everyone is approved. Request Entry →
